Meet Noel Foy

Anxiety/Executive Function Coach, Consultant, Award-Winning Author

For over 40 years, I have helped countless students, families and professionals achieve life-changing outcomes.

As a life-long educator, I have worn many hats—classroom teacher, learning specialist, anxiety/executive function coach, neuroeducation consultant, and author of ABC Worry Free and Are You a Bird Like Me?  My experiences provide me with a unique lens. I have been on the “frontlines” and know what it’s like to teach and reach “all kinds of minds.” That’s why I am passionate about supporting you with tools, approaches and resources that incorporate the Neuroscience of learning in quick, user-friendly ways, so you—and those you teach, parent or work with—can stress less, learn more and work smarter!

How “Neuro Noel” Came to Be

It all started by connecting the dots. A fervor for learning and helping others reach their potential led me to a career in education. The diagnosis of a family member with Post Concussion Syndrome sparked a passion in brain research. The realization that many students, my sons included, were experiencing stressful emotional states in school when learning—anxiety, frustration, boredom and lack of relevance to subject matter—began my transition from educator to neuroeducator and the founding of Neuro Noel Consulting.

In my conversations with educators, parents, coaches, counselors and corporate professionals, they’d often comment about the increase in stress and lack of focus, resilience, self-regulation and self-direction in their students, kids and/or employees, despite best efforts to instruct or support them.

I wasn’t ok with these realities and knew I had to do something about it.

That’s when I committed myself to empowering educators, families, teams and organizations with multi-sensory practices and quick, “real time” applications that reduce the impact of stress, incorporate key Neuroscience findings and appeal to how the brain learns best.

Traditional methods of teaching often omit these critical areas of focus and fall short of meeting the needs of many students, resulting in gaps in learning, engagement, executive function and an increase in behavioral issues or not reaching one’s potential.

Neuro Noel Consulting is my response to these challenges and fulfills my vision of bringing Neuroscience findings into everyday environments and translating them into immediate applications for schools, homes and organizations. These approaches help my clients build underdeveloped skills, experience less stress and more productive emotional states to optimize their brain function, mindset and learning, including those with learning disabilities, ADHD or trauma history.

Additionally, I find storytelling an approachable and playful way to tackle complex topics. A.B.C. Worry Free (order now on Amazonincludes a three step approach to manage anxiety and Are You a Bird Like Me? (order now on Amazon)  inspires readers to believe in themselves and the amazing things that can happen by working together. Both books encourage productive change and the will to face fears through courage and friendship.

I am passionate about facilitating “aha” moments and supporting my clients as they change their lives for the better and reflect their true potential in school, jobs, relationships and life. Via workshops, keynotes and one-on-one coaching, I equip them with practical language and productive responses to reduce anxiety, learn from mistakes, develop a growth mindset and boost executive function, resilience and performance.
